Good morning, everyone, and welcome to today’s Daily Devotional for Tuesday, October 13!

What a blessing it is to begin another day with the Lord and seek His wisdom for the choices before us.

Whatever questions you may be carrying today, remember this truth:

GOD WILL GUIDE YOUR NEXT STEP.

Perhaps you are facing a decision and wondering which direction to take. You want to move forward, but you cannot yet see how everything will unfold.

You can bring those questions before the Lord and ask Him to guide you through His Word.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV) says:

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Family, a lamp helps us see where to place our feet. This verse reminds us that God’s Word gives light for the way we walk.

We may still have questions about tomorrow, but Scripture teaches us how to live faithfully today.

God teaches us to speak honestly, love others, turn away from sin, and seek wisdom. These directions give us a place to begin, even when a particular situation remains uncertain.

Sometimes we spend so much time trying to understand the whole journey that we overlook the step already before us.

Perhaps today you need to make a phone call, ask a trustworthy person for counsel, keep a commitment, or take responsibility for something that needs attention.

Begin with what you already know is right.

If the decision is complicated, allow time to pray, gather information, and consider wise advice. You do not have to rush because you feel pressured to have every answer immediately.

Above all, remember that through Jesus Christ, we have a Saviour we can follow. As we learn His ways, we grow in wisdom for our everyday choices.

Take a few quiet minutes today to read God’s Word. Consider what the passage teaches you about the Lord and how you can put it into practice.

Then choose one faithful action you can take.

As you walk through this Tuesday, entrust your unanswered questions to God and ask Him for strength to follow the light His Word provides.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the light of Your Word and for Your faithful care. Help me slow down, listen carefully, and make wise choices. Show me where I need to obey what You have already taught me. Give me humility to seek trustworthy counsel and patience when the way ahead remains unclear. Thank You for Jesus, our Saviour and guide. Help me take my next step with faith and obedience today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
